Aqua One Fish Foods for Marines
Why do Marine fish need specialist foods? One of the main problems in feeding marine fish is the diversity of species kept in home and public aquaria and how to provide them with adequate diets that take into account the different dietary requirements for herbivorous, omnivores and carnivores. Also, the digestibility of various components of the diet will differ depending on the natural diet and intestinal morphology. Furthermore, the physical characteristics of the diet and the feeding regime must satisfy the different lifestyles and feeding habits, such as surface, middle and bottom feeders. Food particles need to be small enough for the smaller species to ingest, but large enough to be identified and eaten by the larger species (Macartney, 1996). Aqua One has developed two different types of marine foods which will satisfy all those demands whilst providing the fish with plenty of vital minerals and a comprehensive multi vitamin complex for healthy fish. To complete the balanced diet Aqua One recommends to mix Aqua One Marine foods with fresh and frozen foods, Aqua One Spirulina and Aqua One Colour Enhancing Flakes. |
