Aqua One Cichlid - For Healthy and Happy Fish
Why do Cichlid fish need specialist foods? The group of fish classified as Cichlids actually comprises a wide variety of different species with different nutritional requirements. Cichlids can be put into 4 different categories of carnivorous, herbivorous, omnivorous and micro-predators. Depending on the type of Cichlid they also have largely different requirements in the way of protein intake and the protein/lipids ratio of their food. Carnivorous and omnivorous fish require a comparatively high protein content whereas herbivorous Cichlids require a diet with a comparatively lower proportion of protein. With this in mind, Aqua One have developed a high quality flake food that is particularly suited for omnivorous/herbivorous types and a great pellet food that is particularly suited for carnivorous/omnivorous cichlid species. |
